War and Peace
Perhaps you read this book in high school or maybe at the university, I did not. During December 2017, I consumed the book, War and Peace, by Leo Tolstoy. 587,287 words, 30 1/2 hours of concentrated listening to the narration by Neville Jason. Wow! What a journey. It’s the most eloquent word usage of any book I’ve encountered. It is a long, long philosophical story about life in Russia during the period 1805-1812. Listen to this 81 second clip of one notable point in Tolstoy’s own words by clicking below.
I think you might enjoy this audio clip from the Audible book "War and Peace, Volume 1" by Leo Tolstoy. You can listen to it here: http://a.co/eer0BNb
